Study Techniques: Mindmaps
Result: B+
Review:
This module consist of 1 Quiz (40 MCQ question comprising of 40%) and 60% final exam. This module is quite enjoyable as you've learned how about stress, as well as how to manage your personal stress. But personally I felt that this module is a bit unjust. Firstly, the quiz was conducted on week 9 and quiz result was released on week 12, right after the SU option was closed. So for people like me who worked hard and thought they do well but in the end flunked, we don't have much chance to redeem ourselves. I did quite good for my final exam, since I've studied it more than my core modules. So what I can advise is, it's hard to score for this module, but if you luckily got it, just SU.

How did I study?
- Seldom touch this subject, because I knew I won't do well for it as it wasn't one of my 'specialties'. I've learnt my weakness from screwing up my MB106 exam, that I'm not good at these essay-type exams. As such, I've SU this module right from the start. True enough, the exam turns out to be much tougher, even though clear tips were given (like what type of questions will come out). I've actually prepared with minimal time on these topics, which should be sufficient for me to get B+/A-. But it's lucky that I prepare amply, else the 'S' grade is 难保了.
- Attend some of the lectures as a form of relaxation. Firstly, Dr Kamal's lectures were all very interesting, but they doesn't really help you to fully comprehend the concepts. Well, a lot of modules in NTU, you really have to depend on yourself to understand. I went for the last 2 lectures because it's important for exams.
Mistakes made:
- Skip many lectures (in fact, attend only 5/6 out of the 12).
- Didn't place much importance on the pair assignment.
Tips for scoring:
- Attend every single lectures and listen with heart (even if you're SUing the subject. You will save the time to read through the notes in your free time).
- Do regular revision (if you're not SUing, as many basic concepts are linked towards the end).
- Must attend the first 5 lectures if you're SUing. This is because many important career theories are taught, and they always come out during exam.
- Must attend the last lecture, as important tips are given, such as the topics that will come out.
- Prepare your exam revision based on the tips religiously, and prepare them well (Other topics are not applicable, but may be useful to gain some bonus points).

This module is made up of 40% MCQ Quiz, and 60% Final Exam

To score in this module, you have to do well for the quiz. This is because the final exam is very easy and the tips are already given in the lecture notes. In fact, you can even prepare your own answers and copy them into your exam script during the final exam.

For the quiz, the only way to score to own a smartphone (i.e. to be able to check answers online without being discovered. A.k.a. to cheat). It would be best to sit in the back rows as the inviligators won't be walking around to check. Most of the questions given in the MCQ quiz doesn't even exist inside any of the lecture slides. If you do not do well for the CA quiz, be prepared to SU this module as there is no way to remedy it (my lesson learnt from HP801). There are only two ways of score for quiz: either you take the extra effort to know everything about the module, or you cheat. However, I do not hold any liability for cheating as it will amount to expulsion from the university, so take this advice at your own risk. I decided to SU from the start, and did not want to run the risk of being expelled in my final year of study.
